Not for a minute do I believe the NASA report

I don't believe the real NASA people were careless and took shortcuts.

I do belive that the bloody hands bushgang had been trying for years to undermine NASA and take it over.

They want NASA all to themselves so they can rule ALL of space for their military aims.

You know how the bloody hands bushgang hates scientists. (remember all those scientists, 14 of them?, disappearing, suiciding, dying in accidents, etc., all in a short span of time) and the way they try to stop other scientists that disagree with them.

I believe NASA is being held hostage by the bloody hands bushgang by their use of BBBT&M

Bully, Bribe, Blackmail, Threats and if all else fails, Murder.

2. Check this out...
"On Saturday Nelson told The London Observer that he was reprimanded twice for raising concerns.

Last April the former chairman of the Aerospace Safety Advisory panel issued a similar warning. Richard Bloomberg told Congress, "In all of the years of my involvement, I have never been as concerned for space shuttle safety as now."

The New York Times also reports today that NASA last year removed five members from a safety panel who had been critical of the space agency's safety procedures.

And as recently as Friday, the day before the crash, the Congressional General Accounting Office described NASA's oversight of its private contractors as "weak" and "debilitating." "

http://archive.webactive.com/pacifica/demnow/dn20030203.html

"The board investigating the Columbia disaster has too many members who are on the government payroll, lacks scientists and doesn't have enough distance from NASA, say several members of the panel that investigated the Challenger explosion. "

4. I don't believe it due to tinfoil hattedness...
My boyfriend and I *knew* they would blame the workers in the end. They always blame the workers.

You can only cut staff and budgets so far before something has got to give.

5. You may have the wrong impression of the report.
If you get a chance watch the press conference on C-Span from this morning by Sean O'Keefe, NASA administrator and Bush appointee. I saw some of it and got the very distinct impression from the questioning that the report largely blames NASA management for what amounts to Repig-like thuggery, intimidation, lack of curiosity/learning environment, closed-mindedness, stifling honest discussion, etc., etc.

Somebody from a different NASA installation called in asking if O'Keefe would guarantee that a worker who speaks out publicly about the agency, even to the media, would not lose his job or have his career derailed. O'Keefe agreed.

I haven't read the report but this news conference implies that NASA management is the problem.

6. I agree with you, Buzz.

It sounded as though the panel concluded NASA had done little to change since the Challenger tragedy nearly 20 years ago. Mgt. did not listen to its own employees who tried to prevent problems. This is a VERY familiar story in cases of org. wrongdoing.

7. Newly appointed NASA director
With military interests stated that all flights would serve both military and scientific community. I'm not curious about the occurrances since that appointment. Safety last.
