My wife works in a State office a block away and they are indeed on some sort of lock down. My understanding is, a lone shooter went into the capital building, shot a guard and took off. Sounds like it might be personal but who knows.

This is weird. The man who shot the guard apparently showed up at a gun shop BEFORE the capitol shooting and demanded a gun. The owner of the store recognized him as someone who had previously stolen a gun from the gun shop. The owner went into a back room and closed the door. He (the store owner)then started shooting through the door at the suspect. In the process the owner wound up hitting his own son in the arm. (I told you this was weird). The man who had entered the store fled, went to the capitol building and shot the guard.
