5. Chaffee, Snow and Weld |
|
Lincoln Chaffee, Olympia Snow, and fmr. Mass. governer William Weld held an interview. As I understand it all were expressing dismay, Chaffee seemed out and out pissed off, about * and the lock-step politics of the hard repug right now controlling the party. I was unable to find anything on it. Heard it was during the RNC and most of what I do know was told to me by a good friend. He said it was on NPR but I couldn't locate anything. Did anyone else hear this?

2. Why doesn't he just vote for Kerry? |
|
He should join Jeffords and become an Independent if he doesn't want to actually want to go Democratic.

If he ever did the Repugs would never, ever forgive him. Chaffee would become a target. I would only hope that Rhode Islanders would continue to back their senator.

3. Rhode Islanders should be proud |
|
Granted he's a Republican, but he's the "Old School" type. Independent minded, alot like his father. I belive the only repub in the U.S. Senate who voted against the war. He did what the entire U.S. congress should have done. Actually go on down down to Langley and talk to the people down there so he could make up his own mind. I will give Lincoln Chaffee alot of credit, it took a great deal of personal courage to vote 'no' especially when *, the admin, and the were inciting fear and the media was ( and is ) working as propaganda machine.

They said that he would not be voting for Bush* and would be writing in someone. He said it wouldn't matter, because his State is Democratic anyway. CNN did show him walking or something, and he looked very unhappy and angry.

He's pro-choice and fiscally conservative, that sure doesn't sound like a republican.
