The "values" race
Shamelessly stolen from CBC Radio 1

The CBC has started to pay attention to the Presidential race. They've been doing some serious reporting. they've got the issues right but frankly, I think they're starting to get scared.

On this morning's news, they raised the issue of the "values" race. They pointed out that many people vote for the person who shares their values. They interviewed a girl from Missouri who said (paraphrased)...

I value God, fambly [sic] and country. President Bush values God, fambly [sic] and country. John Kerry does not. Therefore I will vote for Bush.

That being the case, there is a simple solution.

Prove to the Murikan public that Dubya does not value God (when was the last time he showed up at church??), family (I suppose you could start with what he's done to Veterans) and country (don't get me started).

1. I woke up hearing that "fambly" girl.
I wanted to go right back to sleep. Holy cats! Is this the state of things down there?

2. Unfortunately yes that's what we're up against .
makes you want to pull your hair out at times. But we're trying. If you run into any Americans up there, tell them to vote in Nov. for Kerry of course.

3. you cannot prove a negative
once, just once, i want someone, say a 'big time reporter', or a 'loyal citizen' at a town hall meeting, to ask bush to justify his iraq policy in light of jesus' philosophy. i.e. jesus' admonition to 'love you enemies, do good unto them that persecute you'. since that is his favorite philosopher & all.

his frantic presenile fumbling & backpedaling make wake a genuine, thoughtful christian the fuck up. but i doubt it.

kerry goes to church, he's catholic. why isn't that good enough?
