Josh Marshall Drives Me Nuts!
Would he just kill the Plame story once and for all.

This is undoubtedly my frustration speaking, but Marshall's lengthy posts about esoteric investigations that seem to be going nowhere are just killing me.

I'm too tired to go through it all right now. The latest installment is here:

Bottom line: The election is weeks away; does anyone think Plame is going to explode before November?

Are any of these ominous, hush-hush investigations going to deliver damage to the administration?

Dammit, he's killing me with the minutia, and I fear there will be no pay-off (i.e., Bush taking a devastating political hit).

1. I think the only way this will matter is if bush steals the election
I have spent way too much time and heart longing for some knockout punch from the Plame outing- like the coke, the abortion story, the pissing on someone's car it ain't gonna affect this election. It might bring down Cheney if Bush steals the election, but don't pin your hopes on this.

6. I realize that
But I respect Marshall, and I think he's one of the best bloggers out there. I just wish the investigations he reports on would produce some damn results. I guess my real frustration is with his seemingly endless reservoir of patience with these inquiries--as if we had several months rather than just a few short weeks before the most important election this country has ever faced.

Again, I'm just frustrated and angry. I want justice, and the clock is ticking.

4. I feel your pain. The tectonic plate shift that was up and coming any
time soon now, apparently came and went or is locked in suspended animation.

My advice - don't visit TPM for at least a few days. I've tuned him out unless any of the top bloggers refer to something he's on to.

5. Ain't that the truth
And another thing: his site takes for freakin' ever to load (I'm on dial-up, obviously). Annoys the hell outtame since it's not that difficult to make it NOT take a long time to load.

9. The other issue is even if something does break he tends to fold like
a house of cards if an ill wind blows in his direction. I read him and I like him but he does tend toward the lets look at both sides when there is really no reason to compare and contrast the issue.

12. Why thank you!
I'll try it. Might give me a tad more patience with JM in the process (but only a tad).

10. I like Josh Marshall, too, but ...
the frequent minutia coupled with the extensive meandering can drive me nuts. Ultimately the problem is: he hasn't gotten to the point with the Plame investigation. Maybe he doesn't know. Maybe he can't tell. Maybe I missed it.

11. There are people who post here on DU who probably have a better....
Idea of what is going on with Plame, and what it means, than Josh Marshall.

Especially after waiting for his "tectonic plate shift"...well, what can I say?

13. I think you all mean to say MINUTIAE (plural), rather than MINUTIA (sing.)

MINUTIA means one tiny detail, and I think it's many tiny details (MINUTIAE) that are driving you nuts.

Misspelled and/or misused words drive me nuts. ;-)

14. Marshall's a wonk
and the pay-off is NEVER as significant as his hype.
