Let us now praise Hillary Clinton.
I want to say how grateful we at DU should be for a person who remains authentic amid the frauds populating our political life today. Her grace under the intense and savage attacks against her entire family has been the one notable decent thing to have come out of the sordid decade past. She is a national treasure and, I would have no hesitation in working and voting for her Presidential nomination and election in 2008.Our country will instantly erase the damage to its reputation and worldwide goodwill wrought by the current band of thugs.

President Hillary Clinton, has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

1. Hillary is more man than most Republicans are
She's a real hardass.

And she can be a true pitbull when compared to wet noodles like Daschle, Lieberman, McAuliffe,

She and Bob Kerry should be the unofficial spokespeople for the Dem party.

4. You're already giving up on Kerry?
You see no chance at all he'll be running for re-election in 2008? Oh, yes, all us Leftists here are really salivating at the chance of a Hitlery presidency, arent't we?

Let her continue to serve as a Senator.

By the way, her name is spelled "Hilary"--one "l".

6. When she abandons
the general world view similar to the neocon one, then she can be a spokesperson. I like her otherwise.

7. Hillary's great line
When asked recently "Knowing what you know today, would you have voted for Iraq War authorization?" She replied "Knowing what we know today, there wouldn't be a vote".
No WMD = no vote. Brilliant!
I wish Kerry had used that line.

10. Hillary would never win
The Right hates her and she has totally let down the Left, with her pink-tutu go-along-to-get-along rubberstamping of the Iraq resolution, Patriot Act, etc.

12. Hillary is probably the only Democrat Jeb Bush can beat, for President....
And I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't the next installment in the soap opera, 'Screw the American People'.

But it really doesn't matter if she runs in 2008...if we win THIS TIME, Kerry or Edwards will beat her in the primaries-or she simply will not run.

If we LOSE this time, who cares who presides over the wreckage-which is all that will be left of the Democratic Party, in 2008?

Besides, remember the fine job she did on health care? With a Democratic majority in both Houses and Bill as President, she managed to fuck the whole thing up...and it was strictly HER project.

Somehow, I just do not understand the fascination.
