Dumb Question re: 9/11 Conspiracy theories and the attendant "drills" |
|
Okay, let me say off the bat that I've been reading the Stanley Hilton stuff. And I've believed, since about a week after 9/11/01, that it was definitely an inside job, if not MIHOP. So, in other words, I'm naturally pretty interested in this stuff.
My question, and forgive me if it sounds stupid, is this....
Many "CT" threads concerning 9/11 make mention of the "drills" purported to have taken place that morning. For a long time we heard there was one, now it turns out there may have been 35. What, exactly, constitutes a "drill?" Do they actaully fly a small plane into a building out in some isolated area? Do they set abuilding on fire? Does a building get evacuated? Is it like a "fire drill" like we had in school, only on a grander scale?
I've wondered about this for some time, and hope I can get a straight answer. Thanks for your help.
Oh, and BTW, does the Stanley Hilton interview scare the ever-lovin' SHIT out of anyone else?

3. The link I have (forwarded to me by another DUer) is: |
|
www.incunabula.org/hive/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid-170
That's all one line, kinda long, but when I clicked on it to fwd the site to someone else, it worked fine. Hope it does so for you. There may be others, but this is the one I know.

2. I've read the SH interview, and yes-- |
|
It scares the you-know-what out of me. I don't know the answer to your "drills" question but will be glad if someone posts who does know. I also don't begin to know what to do with the information SH presents. Wish I could afford to go live on some isolated island in the middle of the South Pacific (w/my kids and grandkids) and hide away from the upcoming disaster screaming our direction. I wish SH well. If he really knows the truth, which could set us free, I fear for his safety, and that of the families he is representing. Someday, this must all come out for the world to see.
Meanwhile, let us work hard to make sure Bush is gone before he completely destroys the world as we know it.

4. it annoys me how everyone just accepts the 9/11 story after |
|
they now know what unmittigated liars and criminals are currently in the administration
I do not know the truth, but I would question every thing that comes out of their rotten mouths. If they said the sun was shining I'd have to check myself.

6. I'm no expert, but I think the idea of the drill is just for one |
|
or more planes to fly alongside the drill-hijacked plane.

7. I am not familiar with the equipment used by the FAA or NORAD |
|
but my understanding of a drill is the simulation of an activity. They recreate to the best of their abilities a scenerio and how it is they respond or should respond.
It is possible that the computers have programs that "create" a disaster -- I don't know, we will need someon with the FAA or formerly with NORAD to explain to us if a drill includes simulated radar screens and tracking.

Oh, well. I guess things move slower over there than here. Someone'll respond. Maybe not tonight.
Anyways, welcome to DU.

11. Go to the 9-11 section, there is a lot of discussion about this |
|
The 35 or more drills were in about a month and a half preceding 9-11. The DAY of 9-11 there were five or six, I believe. Some involved sending jets from the East Coast up to Canada and Alaska so they weren't available during the attack. Others were sent to other areas and others were simulated. The net result was that confusion reigned and there was no air defense response to 9-11. Neither the FAA or Norad knew what was real and what was fake (except maybe key plotters, like the FAA head who left shortly before the attacks and left a fledgling person in charge)
Cheney was in charge of it all by directive of Bush earlier in the year.
Our government pulled off 9-11.
