Why haven't the Bush White House defectors effected Bush negatively? |
|
I'm really puzzled that there are so many Americans still believing in the presidency of George W. Bush. I could be wrong, but I don't believe there has ever been a president who has had so many of his White House insiders leave, and immediately write unfavourably about him. I'm thinking of Richard Clarke (Against All Enemies: Inside America's War on Terror), and Paul O'Neill (The Price of Loyalty) to mention two...There have been others whose names I can't recall....There's also John Dean (Worse than Watergate) who is a long time Republican who worked for Nixon....And several Generals and high military people have denounced him...Of course there are the other books written by writers Kitty Kelley, Maureen Dowd, Seymour Hersch, and Molly Ivins....Does it not occur to the Bush believers that there must be a problem, when so many of his former supporters have become disillusioned by him?.....I really find this amazing.

glued to his ass like bu$h, either. Turn on Murkin TV and all you can hear is "Republicans good, Democrats baaaa-aaad."
bu$h could set a basket of kittens on fire on live TV and the Pretty Whores would gush about how decisive he is!

The majority of Republicans are traitors to this country, they support the party and the idiot that leads it, but not the country or the US Constitution. I truly believe that should the US ever be invaded most, if not all of the collaborators will be Republicans.
That and the media would rather pay attention to Scott Peterson, and most of the media have the as much journalistic integrity as Goebbels.

It's a ruthless bunch running this country. We need to purge the government way down in the ranks of the "Presidencially appointed."

There is some dynamic going on in this country that defies description. It's more than just the media - even when hearing and seeing the truth with there own eyes, the freepers deny that the Bush Administration is destroying America.
We're fighting for the soul of this country and it's a virtual dead heat.

when we were told that many Germans claimed they didn't know of the atrocities, and that they didn't know what was happening in their country. NOW I am beginning to understand how it works: control the media, control the people.

LG: it is quite instructive to look at the current age within a historical context.
In my youth, I used to wonder how someone like Hitler got into power. Now I think I have seen it first hand. Disaster doesn't arrive this a clear label -- it is always ambiguous, and can take the form of an avenging angel of justice, or a patriot.
I used to wonder how massive authoritarian Hero cults could arise in nations as large as China and Russia -- now I think I'm witnessing it first hand.
Trouble is -- there was very little resistance, or at least no effeective resistance, when these bastards were rising in power during the 80s to the present. Now they have seized control of the branches of government, thus rendering "checks and balances" moot, plus the media is either their loyal advocates, or are entirely intimidated and threatened by them.
The longer they are allowed to remain in power unopposed, the worse the situation will get. If we as Americans do not address it from within, it will ultimately be checked, at last, by some external disaster.

The average American is scared to death that Mr. Arab is about to fly a plane loaded with nukes through his front window.
Bush went to war and blew up untold numbers of Mr. Arabs. And he'd do it again. Case closed.

Fascinating subject. One thing about republicans is they are taught to stick together and support the party. But there are huge factions of the party that resent Bush and what he represents. In an opinion poll, they are not going to say, "Hey, the guy's an ass, and I'm not going to support him in November."
Still, if you look at situation, a significant number of republicans have spoken out against Bush. Clark and O'Neill are the most significant republicans. But there are former republicans, such as John Dean and Kevin Phillips. These people have a greater influence than one might realize.
Thus said, the republicans are aware that significant numbers of registered republicans are not going to support Bush in the voting booth this November.

11. I would think that the fact of Bush's lying you into an unnecessary war |

where over 1000 young Americans have died needlessly (not to mention the thousands of Iraqis), would have your countrymen up in arms against Bush, but he still has a lot of them beguiled into believing in him....I wonder if the reason is he has mastered the ability to fake sincerity and caring?.....I (and many others) have never been fooled by him, but many have....I feel so helpless watching him lead the world further into this horrible morass....
