Interesting ...What do we do IF we not have registered Dems in the future?

Interesting ...What do we do IF we not have registered Dems in the future?
I passed a few young kids in front of King Soopers whom were do voter registration....many are registering....BUT most as Independents....How do hold a fair primary if our dem base keeps getting smaller?

3. I hate open primaries.
Remind people that they're shut out of the primary process if they don't register with a party.

However, if you are a member of a party, when you nominate your candidate, you should keep in mind that you're trying to find a candidate who can win some votes among the 1/3rd who are independent (in addition to some Repubs).

2. In MO you just tell them what ballot you want
and then vote. I never have been asked to declare a party officially.

4. I think it is good for the country, and the party will be fine.
People need to know that they can vote even if they arent ready to support a party. I think it is very counterproductive, people who arent ready to declare a view will be scared away.

5. I agree with all on benefit of open primaries....BUT
For those of you whom have them....have you ever worried that the thugs 'load the deck' and chose the weaker of OUR candidates to RUN against?
