Edited on Thu Sep-16-04 11:02 AM by Melodybe
Since then three tornados and 3 people are dead, she called yesterday from her cell phone and said that they were told not to leave and that they were not suppose to leave there house, last night their was a curfew of 6 pm in their area.
My friend was super pissed b/c she did not want to stay there. I haven't talked to her since last night and I just am glad that the eye of Ivan is not in FL.
Jennifer has been my best friend since we were in the 9th grade and I am 26 now, she is my oldest and dearest friend, I am sending her all the good vibes I can.
If you could say a prayer for her and everyone on the coast, it would be appreciated.

I new you were married, but I thought "BF" meant "Boyfriend"! It took me a few seconds to re-connect the reference.
I hope Jennifer emerges in good health. I think The Authorities have everything well under control.
Just think ... we're only one day past the exact middle of Hurricane Season!

2. My daughter is from that area and they were told Monday that |
|
there would be evacuation announced Tuesday morning. If people wait until too late though, it can be safer to stay in place than to try and move once the winds are up to high. Possibly your friend was told not to evacuate if conditions were already too hazardous to do so.
I hope she will be fine. At this point tornados are possible through much of the Ivan area. We just had a tornado watch announced for Western NC and SC until 9 PM due to leading edges of Ivan.

Try not to worry too much. I have a feeling she's okay. Sending good thoughts to all in the entire path.
We here in N. GA are beginning to get our share. My DH just told me that according to the Weather Channel, Ivan is still officially a hurricane. And we're just getting the outer bands up here. Some of the trees are a swinging and a swaying. And probably due to the barometer dropping, I'm in a silly mood. (Did anyone ever notice in grade school that kids got unruly and especially energetic when it was stormy? The nuns would usually just roll with it a little and make "art class" out of it. LOL.)
