Over the past year, what's the longest you have listened to * ? |
|
I just did it for probably almost 90 minutes, well, it might have been more like 5 minutes.
I couldn't take any more.
He is becoming more and more scary to me. Today, a chill ran up my spine when he made certain statements, like this one: "we're going to kill them over there so they can't come and hurt us". That one statement is, I believe, a window into the national psychosis suffered by 50% of Americans.
Scary and sad.

Every time he starts talking, I look for the remote and switch channels.
If I know he's about to speak, I "pre-emptively" switch.
Cumulative listening time, maybe 5 minutes. Plus what he says in the anti-coWard ads that we are seeing more of every day.
Everything about the man disgusts me. The whiny voice, the phony accent, the immature smirk. And of course the content of his idiotic remarks.

(lucky us)
Of course, I am not a professional historian, though that would be a very cool profession.
We now live in a nation which is ewssentially a tissue of lies, in which the Tyrannical Rulers lie about almost 100% of things, something I thought was not possible in America.
But it IS EASY in Amerika.

After I was allowed to watch it this year (had to promise not to stroke out - last year I was yelling at the tv so loudly that boyfriend walked out the front door without me seeing and we to the street in front of the house. He could hear me yelling from a considerable distance).
I watched this year, but paced the whole time with my hand over my mouth.
Once a year is all I can take of him.

12. MORE SCARY TO ME, IS A STATEMENT * MADE A LONG TIME AGO |
|
something to the effect that, "I, (Shrub), understand the nature of killers" ... that is a scary statement to me because I feel that in saying it, Bush must IDENTIFY with the nature of killers. As far as I am concerned there is nothing that makes me understand the nature of a killer. I can understand some are poor, I can understand some are angry, I can understand their condition in lives makes them all too unhappy but I cannot understand the nature of why they kill. Bush says he does.

Along those lines, I had a thought. Remember Karla Faye Tucker? When Bush mocked her and her death sentense appeal, he was revealing something about himself. As we know, bushtail has been born a second time. When he mocked her appeal on the basis of her being born again, he was actually revealing that his religious convictions are a fraud.
How could a born again christian governer not be sensitive to another person's religious experience?

19. Thanks but I think the Kerry campaign has more than enough ammo |
|
what they're lacking is the ability to control the news cycle. The main reason why Bush is ahead is because they control the news. But right now they've got a tiger by the tail in Iraq. You play with fire you gonna get burned.

.. I think if you are going to engage in any thoughtful debates what a friggin' moran he is, you pretty much have to be on top of all the idiotic statements he makes as well as lies and promises unkept. Usually the 24/7 and local news waters it down and makes him look literate and like a strong leader... which is pretty much what the "other" guy sees. I need facts, statements, etc.. to be able to shoot their arguments down.
Plus, sometimes it's very entertaining to watch him and the hand picked sheeple in the audience.

I did listen to the ONE press conference because it was the one where only INVITED journalists would ask KKKRove questions given to them prior to the press conference. I just had to see how it all went down. He called the journalists "in order" from his little list and had the answers written, "in order" for him by his handlers. It was truly pathetic.
I NEVER watch him. If he's on, I switch the channel. I hate the sound of his voice. I hate his fake accent. I hate the way he walks. I hate the way he talks. I hate everything about that man.

Other than that, I can barely stand the clips they play in news reports.
I did listen to the 2004 SOTU, but only because Malloy was providing a running commentary on all of the bullshit.

Perhaps around 3 hours total , I watch the SOTU speech, that's the longest ..Usually it's a race to the remote unless he's taking questions from the WH press core , I will watch those simply waiting for him to lose it .

kinda like going to car races to watch the accidents.
This experience where I tried to stomach him for like 5 or 10 minutes was tough because the more I understand the nature of this man the more frightful I feel about our future.
