Central place for flyers and handouts |
|
DUers,
As we get closer to the election, I would like to make a humble suggestion.
There have been a lot of great flyers, handouts, info sheets posted in various forums.
Can we create a central page where these can all be placed and easily downloaded? Then, link to it from:
The home page The forums page The top of General Discussion (where the Admin messages are) The top of GD Campaign 2004 The top of all state forums The top of all issue forums The Links directory
There is of course the activism forum, where I often see them listed. But if we have a central place that's linked to on every page here, then:
-If someone wants to go and find some talking points, or flyers to print for friends/neighbors/co-workers, they'll know exactly where to find it quickly.
-If a site visitor stops by DU, the link will be on the home page and they'll easily be able to find out and (print) information (this is particularly useful for the "I don't know what Kerry stands for" and "There's no difference between the candidates crowd").
-We can quickly glance at the list and see if there are topics missing that we need to write up.
-When we're overwhelmed and unsure what to do today to help, we can always go to the list of info sheets and print some to distribute.
The easier these info sheets are to find, the more likely it is people will distribute them.
I'm going to post this to the Admin forum and GD2004 as well; I apologize in advance for the duplicates, but I think this is very important.
