Pentagon releases more documents -- always on Friday
Ever notice how any new documents released by the WH/Pentagon is always done on Friday? Escaping the weekly news cycle?

Pentagon Releases More Bush Service Documents

The Pentagon on Friday released more records on President Bush's Vietnam-era Air National Guard service but they provided no new substantive information.

The 10 pages released included documents that had already been made public and were in most part cover letters or forms pertaining to Bush's appointment as 2nd Lt in the Texas Air National Guard.

The Defense Department said this latest round of documents had already been released in 2000 by the National Guard Bureau in response to Freedom of Information Act requests.

This was the second Friday in a row the Defense Department released records of the president's National Guard service, but the records have done little to clear up allegations that Bush did not complete his required training in Alabama.

2. That's an old, old practice by government with bad news to tell...
Because Saturday's paper is the least read one of the week, bad news will have the lowest possible impact. Which is why I love to open the paper on Saturday morning...

3. We don't have any papers that publish in the afternoon/evening anymore?
It's too bad... I can remember when the larger cities would have two major newspapers, one publishing in the morning and the other in the afternoon.

5. How in the hell do they get away with this?
Didn`t they say they realeased all the papers on this deal? How in the hell do they keep finding more? Also the press is silent on this.
