War in Iraq is hurting the war on terror. This stunning sentence is given as much news coverage as the 5 Americans killed in Iraq on Friday.

1. If you're talking about the CNN interview that aired last night, |
|
he also said that the world is a more dangerous place.
If invading Iraq is considered a bad idea by our allies, then how can Bush even claim that he's garnishing foreign support and respect? The man's policy is a train wreck and I sincerely believe that foreign leaders are holding their collective breath that we'll have a change in administration with the next election and they get a person who has the intellect to think outside the conservative idealogy.

3. In Musharraf Bush has met his match in cynical opportunism. To a |
|
charlatan like Musharraf, every opportunity to squeeze out more dollars and arms from Uncle Sam is a golden opportunity.Pakistan was playing this game during the cold war as a socalled ally of the US for a long time. When that fizzled out and Pakistan became a basket case, it joined the Jihad of the Mujahideen and created the Taliban in Afghanistan.Along with this, Pakistan also acquired the nuclear weapons technology and placed its technical knowhow at the disposal of radical Islamic countries as a counterweight to India and Israel, two of the most detested infidels in the Islamic countries's vocabulary. Now Musharraf is playing the game of ally in the war against terrorism while protecting his flanks being attacked as a traitor to Islam.Hope he can pull this trick off.The prospects don't look good for him and other "collaborators".Like Allawi his days too are numbered.

2. Musharraf is not a CIA shill for the neocons... |
|
In his interview with Paula Zahn:
ZAHN: Is the world a safer place because of the war in Iraq? MUSHARRAF: No. It's more dangerous. It's not safer, certainly not.
ZAHN: How so?
MUSHARRAF: Well, because it has aroused actions of the Muslims more. It's aroused certain sentiments of the Muslim world, and then the responses, the latest phenomena of explosives, more frequent for bombs and suicide bombings. This phenomenon is extremely dangerous.
ZAHN: Was it a mistake to have gone to war with Iraq?
MUSHARRAF: Well, I would say that it has ended up bringing more trouble to the world.
