A couple named their newborn son George Bush because bush freed them.

Poor pathetic people.

1. I hope this family is planning on leaving Iraq soon if they expect to

2. Many children were named "Saddam" because of their parents'
...ostensible love for Hussein. We're talking about an entire country of people who view the custom of naming one child in each family after the current despot as pragmatic rather than laudatory.

It reminds me of couples in the Soviet Union who felt compelled to visit the tomb of the unknown soldier on their wedding day. They didn't necessarily include the visit in their marriage ceremony because of their gratitude for the soldier's sacrifice. They did it because failing to do so would invite unwelcome scrutiny from the local party leaders.
