CNN Sanjay Gupta reports Bush postponed his annual physical |
|
from Aug until after the election. Teaser for a report on Presidential health issues to air on Sunday. May be worth watching. Wonder if they will address the mental health issues that keep cropping up on DU?

4. Skipping out on a physical |
|
yet again. I wonder what he's trying to hide this time.
Oh, I thought he really got a kick out of those colonoscopies. What could be so bad that he would miss that thrill?

5. Don't Presidents generally release their health records |
|
just before an election?
Bush should be seriously pressured to do the same.
We should know if one of the candidates for President has a serious illness.
(or a drug problem...or whatever)

7. His epilepsy would come out. |
|
It is rumored that * is an epileptic. The meds he's on are what causes him to act the way he does.

14. It's worse than epilepsy imo |
|
Thousands of people with epilepsy function perfectly well. The same is true of cocaine addicts and people on most prescription meds. None of these things explain W's constant falls, his bizarre facial abrasions, his inability to think or talk, his loss of coordination, his fantasy that God is speaking through him, or his temper tantrums.
Something is seriously wrong with him. I suspect some form of dementia, possibly frontal lobe dementia, which affects people at a younger age than other forms of dementia.
It's maddening that we have so little information. It's criminal of the news media to cover for him. I am certain that they know a lot more than they are telling.

13. He's NEVER released his health records! |
|
John Dean talked about this in his book, Worse than Watergate.
All we get are vague reassurances that "he's perfectly fine" from physicians who turn out to be drunks on the verge of losing their licenses.
Something is seriously wrong with W - beyond any drug addictions that he may have - and it is being kept from the American people.
I worry that he will be reselected, found unfit to serve, and we'll have cheney chainsaw as president.

10. Four years in means time to skip a physical. Consistency is what is |

important and W is always consistent, except when he flip flops because of political pressure.

15. Can he be grounded from being president?? |
|
The Texas Air National Guard grounded him from flight status due to a failure to take physical. Perhaps the same rules should apply here.

16. Well, by golly! Isn't this the same thing he is reputed to have done |
|
while at the TANG ... and wasn't part of the DAN RATHER memo something to do with bush directly refusing to obey orders from his superiors to take his physical? mY facts may be wrong on the Rather Memo but rumors have floated around that the reason he went AWOL from the TANG had to do with the fact that he refused to take his physical.

18. The reasoning behind an annual physical... |
|
...is to assure the American people that the 'president' is fit to serve. Are there any legal requirements for these physicals? Can a 'president' simply say he's not going to take them?

Will they demand an answer? Will they insist he take one?
It really doesn't matter anyway because KKKRove would just threaten the doctor and tell him to keep his mouth shut.

22. Bush&co know that Dems won't pursue because of Kerry's prostate |
|
If Dems say anything about shrub not having a physical or not releasing more medical records, Repubs will just turn it around against Kerry and demand more proof that Kerry is OK and still cancer-free.

They'll probably say * has health issues so the religious-right will pray every morning, noon, and night for him.
That should get him an extra vote or two.
