Did anyone hear about O'Reilly's $1000 wager last night? |
|
I didn't see it, but my grandmother told me O'Reilly bet his audience that nobody could find proof that he was registered as a Republican. (It came up since she is a big O'Reilly fan, because he's "fair and balanced" and an independent. I told her I saw O'Reilly's voter registration card in Franken's book, and it most certainly said Republican.)

1. O'Reilly tried betting Terry Gross... |
|
... $10,000 regarding where he grew up. Since that broadcast, Al Franken has said a few times that *he's* got $10,000 for anybody that can prove O'Reilly didn't grow-up in Westbury (or something like that). Basically a counter-bet to O'Reilly's w/o directly confronting him.
The difference being... Franken's "bet" is an open offer, whereas O'Reilly's was just for show. O'Reilly knew that Terry Gross wasn't in any position, or of the inclination, to bet O'Reilly on the issue.

2. Oh'Really doesn't honor his promises or his bets |

He is toilet scum.
He also said that if no WMDs were found he would "never trust Bush again". Now he says, nevermind, it was for a "good cause" anyway.
Why anyone listens to that microbe I never will know.

O'Reilly said that he had $100,000 for anyone who could prove that he wasn't an Independent.
