4. Good for you
Neither are we. I think we are one of the very few house holds that do NOT have cable.

5. As one who gave up cable news in 2002, I've come to realize...
...that reading the summaries of these shows on DU is far more enjoyable than actually watching them.

9. did you see this
I watched FOX for a few Min's during the democratic convention to see how they was spinning it and i saw Micheal Moore on o'lielys show.Micheal had rules cause he knew o'liely would edit it if he was looking bad.so the rules was question format with a rebuttal and no editing basically a honest debate.Micheal was brilliant totally making o'liely look really bad Micheal asked him questions like would you sacrifice your son/daughter to secure faluja and o'liely was basically stumped,or what would you tell a mother/father who lost there son trying to secure faluja o'liely looked so bad that he had to bring on neocons for a week to bash Micheal for damage control.

10. Bubble Boys
You can bet the O'Really? won't submit to that format again.

Remember when Rush Limbaugh did a guest host stint on the old Pat Sajack Show? For you young 'uns, it was a late night talk show that (I believe) pre-dated Aresnio Hall. The entire damned audience started heckling him when he started on one of his conservative riffs, and after they went to commercial, the audience was gone. Cleared from the studio. Rush did the rest of the show in front of only the production crew, and He's never done a live, uncontrolled- format appearance like that since.

These guys, for all the macho posturing, can't survive in a no-holds-barred debate. Jesus, remember what Terri Gross (the definition of "milquetoast" if ever there was one) did to O'Really? during her "Fresh Air" interview last year? If you can't stand up to Terri Gross, you need to change your panties and get a new job.

They replayed the tape. Also interviewed some stages hands, one of which said that he'd never seen a man sweat so much!

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/programs/info/1311.html

02.28.1995
60 minutes

FRONTLINE explores the phenomenon of conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh. Three hours each day, five days a week, Limbaugh is heard on more than 600 radio stations, in addition to hosting a daily half-hour television program. How much political clout does Limbaugh have? Tracing his rise to fame and fortune, the program also takes an in-depth look at Limbaugh's audience and asks what impact he had on the Republican congressional landslide.

All in all, it was a pretty even-handed look at the Rush Phenomenon.

13. O'Reilly wouldn't commit to sending his kids...
... but said during the Moore interview that, ridiculously, *he'd* go. Given that not all military positions are combat, couldn't the Army find a spot for Bill in some administration job? Or maybe helping with the physical therapy of the recovering soldiers?

What a buffoon.

11. Trump knows Iraq is a mistake, buy the can't decide
on who to vote for. He was on some show a few weeks ago and said he hadn't made up his mind. Money talks to these people. Trump will save a ton of money with the repuke tax cuts. Let's see what REALLY matters to The Donald when push comes to shove on Nov. 2.
