Florida hurricanes -- think it's karma? |
|
Four strong hurricanes in six weeks, and months before Election Day!
This is the stuff Biblical tales are made from. If only a Bush could be turned into a pillar of salt.
OTOH, Jeb's house is in Tallahassee, and well away from any brunt of the storms. So there is some doubt there is karma or divine intervention. Unless Mother Nature has something in store for him!

3. weather -- like in a global warming coincidence? |
|
I guess the whole situation is weird. Never in my lifetime had I seen this. The loaded question weatherwise is...can we expect this situation again this time next year, and annually?

4. i have been thinking that ever since the first hurricane! |
|
* is using God's name to do all sorts of dastardly deeds! God must be pissed... But this is what my thinking is: IF the hurricanes are an act of God, then here's two things that could happen:
The southeast of the country is decimated enough that voting is not possible, thereby not delivering all those electoral votes to *. Or * shafts all of the ppl by not helping them, thereby delivering all those electoral votes to Kerry. -or- The southeast of the country is decimated, but * diverts all sorts of public funds towards emergency funds and rebuilding efforts, thereby making him a hero to those states, plus all swing voters across the nation.
Guess we'll find in a month.

6. ...and then up here in WA state |
|
We have Mt. St. Helens, who knows if she will blow her top. I bet if George Nethercutt (for Senate) or Dino Rossi (for governor) win, she just might do the deed.
Please Ms. Mt. St Helens, I'll vote Democratic, I promise!

7. Karma may have more to do with it.... |
|
If Bush were more in tune with nature he would have understood that encouraging gasoline consumption in the U.S. (remember the tax deductions for large trucks?), cutting back on pollution standards, and outsourcing, causing the economies of India and China to grow and consume at an accelerating rate, would have an impact on global warming and throw off the climate.

10. Locking.. EVERY locale has its share of natural disasters |
|
and to single out Florida for "divine intervention" when so many DUers have suffered dramatic storm losses, serves no purpose except to make them feel even worse than they do..
Massachussets has nor'easters, snowstorms
California has quakes, mudslides, el nino storms, fires, drought..you name it
Illinois has tornados, blizzards, lake gales
Those are just a few "blue states" with some rugged weather/natural disasters...does that mean that those states "deserved" their fate too
