Anyone see clip of Howard Dean refusing to go on O'Leilly? |
|
O'Leilly showed the clip himself of his guy begging Dean to appear on the show. Dean kept laughing, those beautiful blue eyes twinkling. His first answer after no was that O'Reilly's show is about O'Reilly, not about his guest! Bingo!
Oh how I would have loved to see Howard's baby blues for four years.

but I saw Dean on Charlie Rose the other night. I was reminded again how Dean was a much stronger candidate than Kerry, only he was destroyed by the media and the Democratic Party establishment that was frightened of his appeal.

3. you are SO right Sheila T |

Dean WAS the much stronger candidate. I am "on loan" from Dean, ha. The tv media just repeats anything they want long enough and it becomes a fact in the weakminded American public. Media is in the pocket of the Bush admn. Anyone should be able to see it, as they give him a pass on EVERYTHING! I have been a lifelong Dem (started at age 15 walking door-to-door for J F Kennedy. I was appalled and angered at what the Demo establishment did to Dean. I had a friend who worked in Iowa that told me some of the dirty tricks that Kerry/Gephardt/ Edwards did to Dean. I wonder why they can't play mean to Bush like that? Also the DNC didn't want Dean and they did everything they could to stop him--successfully, with the help of the media. But now, the media is no longer their friend. I will vote for Kerry, but it was like when I got to vote for the first time, for LBJ, my heart is not in it.
This is my first post, and I have never blogged before, so I will probably not do anything right, ha!

6. I have that bumper sticker in my back window! |
|
(among others....)
"Kerry Voter, On Loan from Dean"
My husband wants to take it off-- says we're fighting for Kerry now. I said No WAY. Dean's the man who made me the activist I am. That sucker is staying right where it is!

7. Where can I get that sticker? |
|
Of course, I have no room on my car, as I bought so many when I visited my daughter in Austin, TX(who is a struggling teacher)--we went to Two Unemployed Democrats store there(they have a website, also), and I got too many to use---- such as Bush bin Lyin; Fire the Liar,Vote Democrat 2004; How many lives per gallon; If you aren't appalled, you haven't been paying attention; Greed Over Patriotism. Austin is an island in TX--Kerry/Eds signs, everywhere. To know W is to NOT like him, and they REALLY DON'T like him is Austin.

I'm from Austin originally; my family moved there in 1971. It was a great place to grow up. I didn't leave until 94. It's harder to go back now. The traffic sucks, and so do all the right-wingers who have taken over the suburbs. Dallas was definitely hard to get used to. Here's the sticker: http://www.cafepress.com/all_things_dfa.11360677

10. Dean is so good he had me writing bad checks!! |
|
Only a slight exaggeration. LOVE that man. When he speaks, it as though the curtains open and reality finally shines on the pall that has become American politics.
I would GLADLY send him more money if he runs again and would work my tail off for him.
Dean is THE man. Period

O'Reilly just looked think-skinned and immature. Had the nerve to say that Dean was afraid! I thought the whole little stunt back-fired!

15. What amazes me so much |
|
is how much Dean supporters still care. I still say they're the ones revitalizing the Democratic party, they're the core of the ones I know of who are out canvassing the neighborhoods, doing GOTV work, and running for office. Haven't yet met a former Clark/Kucinich/Edwards/Kerry supporter who is as much out there on the front lines as the Dean people. It's truly sad.

"why the fuck should i waste my time on a joke of a show like yours".
and you know how much o'reilly wants him to appear for ratings reasons and just so he can be an ass. he would cut off his microphone or cut the segment short anytime he is losing the argument.
