4. But Haliburton gets BILLIONS later for everything destroyed now
I just think of the quote in F 9/11 at that "rebuilding" conference about there being PLENTY of money for all the contracters once the fighting starts.

Death and destruction are MONEY IN THE BANK to war profiteers like George Bush and Dick Cheney.

7. We are monsters...
This is being done in our name. I can't even express the hate & revulsion I am feeling for our 'leaders' who can do this to human beings. I've always been a very peaceful person who tries to find the good in others. I truly don't remember HATING anyone. But that is all changing...I am getting extremely angry and am beginning to hate the people who are doing this. (and I don't mean our soldiers...I mean the chickenhawks who sent them there when they wouldn't go themselves or send their own children...).

And while this goes on, CNN harps on about Laci Peterson, and god knows what other sensationalistic crap they do...and so does the rest of the media...so that they can make MORE MONEY by ignoring the real stories, and propping up their unelected puppet.

Sorry for the angry post...all the hurt we're doing is beginning to really affect me more & more each day...

These pictures should be seen by all Americans...

Thanks JS for posting these...

9. I, too, am angry and stunned by the state of our Union
I think seeing what our media hides from us helps us awaken others to the reality that we at DU and the rest of the world see clearly.

11. Looks like a PERFECT environment for elections...
Geez, even the pre-war elections where Saddam got 100% will look FAIR compared to what the Bush criminal cabal will pull come next year (if allowed).

They are already pressuring and BRIBING candidates in Afghanistan to drop out of that election.

Just wait until OUR TAX DOLLARS are spent BUYING candidates in the Iraq election.

10. The US is bombing the innocents in Falluja intentionally......
That is called terrorism.....

<snip>
Immediately after the collapse of the non-negotiations, the US initiated almost daily bombing of various neighborhoods in Fallujah. The cover story has been that they are bombing "safe houses" used by terrorists associated with Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and that no other people are present during the attacks. But hospitals report daily that the vast majority of the casualties are civilians. It is clear to everyone but the US public that the attacks are designed to persuade the people of Fallujah to abandon their support of the rebellion. To add a further element of threat to the equation, the US has repeatedly announced that it would soon reinvade the city, and during the second week of September even announced on loudspeakers that the residents of certain areas should evacuate because of a pending attack. This was a bluff. US military officials admitted to American reporters that they are waiting until after the November elections in the United States.

We can expect that the bombing will continue until November, followed by a full-scale assault on the city, one that might be far more brutal than the previous attacks on Fallujah and Najaf - unless, of course, the strategy changes again. In the meantime, there are ongoing overtures for new negotiations, but without either side changing its position.

read the whole thing, it will make you vomit though!

18. This will fail
"the attacks are designed to persuade the people of Fallujah to abandon their support of the rebellion"

The effect will be the exact opposite. The apparent stupidity is beyond belief.
If a foreign nation was dropping bombs on an American city, how would we react?
Why do they think the Iraqis will be any different?

12. GOD DAMN the media
Remember the coverage of Vietnam?
Remember the pictures of unbelievable grief
and suffering of fellow our human beings?
Those images were what eventually brought America
to consciousness that demanded their government
stop committing atrocities in their name.
Why are these pictures not being seen?
Because they know damned well Americans would
demand an end to the madness.
May the media burn in hell for their complicity
in enabling these horrendous acts.

14. You are right BHN.....
They damned well do know it would make a difference. Check this out from the Atimes.com article I posted just above you....

<snip>
After two weeks of battles and bombings, the US temporarily withdrew to its bases, leaving control of Sadr City to the guerrillas and their clerical leadership. Currently, it appears that they have opted for a bombing campaign like the one in Fallujah, though so far the bombings have been occasional rather than consistent. The fact that American reporters can access Sadr City and report the carnage might be one deterrent.

16. Next executive order?
Gagging of ALL journalists.
Just read the thread about the gag on the EPA,
the journalists have been censored so far, so I expect
the next move is to gag them all together.
God help those poor people.
They are planning a whole sale slaughter of civilians
and a total media black out on it.

13. Greed, pride and vanity....Not in My Name, Motherfuckers!!!
We here in the US don't register the bloodshed, the heartache and the indescribable turmoil we've inflicted upon these people. These are people just like you and I. They have families. They have jobs. They have hopes. They have causes they believe in. They really are much closer to you and I then our whore media would like you to believe. It's so much easier to turn a blind eye when you can compartmentalize them as "they." They just want to live their lives and raise their families just like you and I. Picture your town, your neighborhood, your family being brutalized.

Curse the complicit American mass media for hiding these foul, illegal acts from us. And shame on the American public for allowing these atrocities to happen in our name. We know better.

Greed, pride and vanity.

17. Don't forget VENGENCE
"Discussing the threat posed by Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, Bush said: "After all, this is the guy who tried to kill my dad."

http://www.cnn.com/2002/ALLPOLITICS/09/27/bush.war.talk/

I bet Bush secrety MOCKS the injured and dying Iraqis just as he mocked Karla Faye Tucker before he executed her.
