What if Kerry opens with . .
Edited on Wed Sep-29-04 01:12 PM by msmcghee
I assume each candidate will get an opening statement of some kind.

What if Kerry opens with:

I'm glad we're having these three debates, but I reluctantly agreed to this restricted format because that was only format they would accept.

I now appeal to you, President Bush, to agree to two additional debates, one on domestic policy and one on foreign policy - where we will be able to meet face to face and pose questions to each other and answer them.

The stakes are very high for America that we make the right choice in this critical election. Let's let the American people know who we really are and where we stand on the issues. I ask you now, president Bush, to join me in this effort and agree, right now, for the future of America, to meet me face to face, man to man.

1. No opening statements
from what I heard. This isn't a real debate, it's an infomercial. Sad.

4. Fake debates, fake elections, fake hope.
I really, really, really hope 'merkins wake the hell up and shake the commodity fetishism out of their tired eyes.

6. Never, ever appeal to bush for anything
just take it - if bush doesn't show - hold it alone and talk to the people.
