1. On the fence, here.
Dean's the only candidate to whom I've contributed, but I'm still looking at Kerry.

I like him generally and he is starting to prove to me that he is astute enough to handle the wolves in Washington.

I wish we could have a candidate with a real shot of winning who was opposed to the death penalty, but I guess America is not ready to move into the 21st Century yet.

I am in the exact same position as you FlashHarry - I've donated to Dean's campaign, and right now he is my number one - tentatively.

Dean, Kucinich and Kerry are my top 3.

100. Same here.
I contributed to Dean, was ambivalent at first, but slowly leaning toward him.

Still watching Kerry also, but he seems to just follow along after Dean and Kucinich and other Dems criticize first. I don't want somebody who waits until he sees which way the wind blows--I want someone who's out front with policy, criticism of Bush, etc.

7. GO DEAN
Dean is our best viable candidate...Kerrys hair is too big, and he voted wrong on several issues including the war and the Patriot act. Kucinich is just to rabid for the general populace to take to. Dean is a moderate even a corn fielder might vote for that looks like a Republican.

33. I'm on board
I really like the energy that Dean has brought back to the party. I agree with him on most issues, find him inspiring personally, and think that he has the best chance to beat bush.

His policies aren't "too liberal" for the mainstream. Any of our candidates will be painted that way, but all of them won't have the organization to counter the spin.

We have to raise as much money as we can, of course, but we won't be able to beat bush and his more than $200 million on mass media alone (and we know that the press isn't on our side). Dean has almost 60,000 volunteers already who will form the backbone of an incredible grassroots canvassing team. We NEED that in order to win.

34. Gravitating in that direction
Dean's a little more conservative than I would ideally like, particularly with respect to his positions on death penalty and gun control, but I must admit, he's very shrewdly finding ways to substantively address those volatile issues so as to leave both sides of the debates feeling that they're at least gotten a little of what they wanted, which I think is very smart. While I tend to instinctively prefer Kucinich's more unequivocally leftist positions, I worry that he leaves himself too open to wingnut potshots that will resonate with too many Americans. Dean I think has a better chance at dodging the bullets that will inevitably be aimed at him as his candidacy progresses.

118. according to that I am 100% Green!!
Then Kucinich 89%, Kerry - 79%, Dean - 79%, socialist - 75%, Lieberman - 71%, Jesse Jackson - 71%. Clark was #21 at 45%, but that could be because they are still compiling data. Iowa's Tom Vilsack came in at 3% because of that. But Clark was ahead of Gore at 44%, and both were ahead of Bradley who was supposed to be well left of Gore.

I agree with that in the sense that I would like to see the Democrats adopt a platform that is closer to the Green platform, but the barrier to voting Green is my over-riding desire to defeat #28 JR Bush - 13%.

Dean was my early pick, and I am still in his camp, and on his e-mail list, but I also like what I have heard about DK. Most importantly 1000% ABB!

***comes running in the door, trips over media trying to dig up dirt on Dean, kicks them, stands up and brushes himself off***

Present and ready for action.

New to DU--old fan of Dean, based at first on Civil Unions issue
*glance to the left* then on his stance on war. His entrance speech was great (barring the Nader sign)

I'm the "typical" Dean supporter according to the more intelligent among the media (yes there are 1 or 2 out there)
I made my first donation to a political cause on the "big day" and have been giddy ever since.

I mentioned this on another thread, but it bears repeating. The Dean site has great updates these days-- that 25 pg. Assertions v. Reality is a must read for all!

Heavily leaning towards Dean, donated to his cause, have an open mind though...the election is a long way off. I'll happily support any of the candidates though, because we need to take the WH (and Congress!) or our country will fall apart.

Hubby wore his Dean shirt and button to the store today, and then around the neighborhood. He had FIVE people come up and ask how to find out more.

Was a Gore supporter (and I still am crazy about Al), but am very pleased with Dean so far. He has shown all the right stuff.

Should add that, if Dean stumbles in any way, I will support the Democratic nominee, however reluctantly. * has got to go!!!

Go Dean!

Not nuts about guns, don't like the death penalty, but I believe Dean has the backbone to stand up to the BFEE.
