but if I call her a Bush enabling twit for doing that, then that should be OK too.

1. Yup
I *just* finished listening to the "argument" after reading everything here. It was tough, because I love Randi, and I adore Patti Smith. But I think the whole thing was overblown.

I think Patti was being overly sensitive and in fact, was ruder to Randi than vice versa. She just spoke more quietly. But Patti tried to make HER point and then shut down the discussion. It doesn't work that way, especially with Randi.

Anyway, it wasn't as big a deal as I expected it to be.

That's about the dumbest thing I've read here in sometime. So if 20,000 vote for Nader in Ohio and Kerry looses the state by say a thousand, who benefits, Nader?

Tell me, if I vote for Nader, and Kerry expects my vote, but doesn't get it, can the gnashing of hypocritical teeth be heard farther than, say, the DEW Line?

Oh, that's right, they're not.

I'm all for Dem's getting out the vote and making the best of it, but in every instance that I can recall that you've attempted discourse with me, you've tried to paint this site as something other than what it is.

Might Kerry win? Sure. More power to him. I'll likely support him if he does win.

But that won't in the least make me over look the maniacal anti-nader voices around here who are the modern day equivalents of dogs in the manger. Or how they cry in their beer about how he 'steals' votes.

17. Randi Rhodes and Patti Smith got into it over Ralph Nader.
Patti is a good friend and supporter of Ralph, and Randi was talking about how she thinks Nader only cares about Nader, that he should work to form a party instead of just showing up every 4 years to run, ect. and Patti took it personally and shut down and refused to answer questions. Then they started sniping at eachother a bit. It was uncomfortable to listen to.

You can download the show here: http://www.whiterosesociety.org/ It's the Wednesday, Sept. 29th show and the bit with Patti is around the last 20 minutes of the show.
