Do you think AWOL is wondering if God has abandoned him?
He has claimed to be God guided and believes
he has been the "chosen one" to lead the world.
What must he be thinking now that he is failing
in the eyes of so many?

3. No
and he doesn't realize he's fallen. Shrub is surrounded by yes men who told him he did a good job. He doesn't read or watch TV, so it's easy for them to handle him and his gigantic ego.

4. nah, Bush is too arrogant to question
But I think with 4 hurricanes hitting the state that gave the office to him and a volcano ready to explode, people who watch those sorts of things and attribute them to the vengeful god of the Hebrews might be questioning whether or not the Idiot is the one they should be backing.

I think this stuff is giving the ignorant and superstitious folks in those fundy churches a reason not to back him.

5. Surely Pickles reads and I assume she
would know more about what is really going
on. Then again maybe she wouldn't tell
him either. Makes me wonder if when he
loses the election if anyone will bother
to tell him he has to move.

14. Pickles only reads the positive
She was on BookTV this weekend & when asked if she read any of the books about her husband, she said" "only the positive ones" then she tried to shift subject by saying, "I like fiction" (but, I think it is just one comment, heehee)

6. Yes, certainly ....
In his narrow world view, this is the Lord himself testing George. He believes that the Creator of the Universe is going to reward his rigid, stubborn self for holding firm on his Iraqi policy.

7. Because I am a Christian is precisely why I must speak out againt all
the evil, injustice, and ungodly behavior of my country. I believe there is a God and I believe there will be a judgement day. That's why I must be against what is going on in my own country. How can we speak about murder, genocide, cruelty, evil, dictatorships around the world when we support with weapons, money, and indifference the very things we say we abhor, not to mention what we do at home?

8. This assumes that his piety is authentic. In my opinion, everything he
does is fake;so, I don't think he would even think about these issues, let alone be impelled to question God.

I don't believe he ever really thought God was with him. He's just a sociopath who uses any available device to seem believable to as many people as possible.

9. Not humble!
He don't get no Gesthemene here.

They say that the greatest sinners make the greatest Saints. I think it takes more than a proclamation of faith in this case and Bush is still Bush. To die and be Reborn seems to involve more than just making a break with alcoholism and creating a political alliance with a sect.

Without even a modicum of humility or professed uncertainty about his own will compared to the Will of God, it is hard to imagine anything but a lip-service spirituality here.

His spiritual matters are his own, and they should stay that way. As a public figure, making an issue out of it and forcing it on others makes him fair game.

By their works ye shall know them ....

Who are caught in the schemes he devises.
He boasts of the cravings of his heart;
He blesses the greedy and reviles the LORD.
In his pride the wicked does not seek Him;
In his thoughts, there is no room for God..."

(See, Bush is in the Bible. Psalm 10)

Edited because I'm a grammar freak.

After John Edwards decimates crashcart, and the moron* falls flat on his face in debate #2, I look for an ahah moment even for the chimp*.
I also think many of these b/c* yardsigns will be coming down and their army of the living dead will begin to shrivel in the daylight.

Unfortunately, the night of the debate, He was so tired from comforting hurricane victims, he couldn't personally be in attendance, so he sent Buddy Hackett.
