Would it be right and ethical for me to ask for contributions, on DU, to the campaign of the Democratic Candidate for NJ Assembly for whom I am working?
I do not wish to do anything that would bring any taint to his campaign(He is a Very Good Man) and I do not wish to offend anyone here.
So please: Opinions.

that people on DU regularly stump for candidates that they support. Just give clear reasons why, and explain the issues at stake. The fact that you work for this person could ethically complicate matters, but maybe not. Just get your bias out in the open to begin with, and explain how your experiences working with him have helped your understanding.
Now, as to whether it is legal or not to raise funds on DU, I cannot answer that question.

Ours is not a well-funded campaign. The NJ Dem Party has not "focused" too greatly on the district. Having said that, his opponent is a frothing right-wing idealogue carpetbagger who came to this district because the repukes where he lived wouldn't piss up his ass if his guts were on fire. He has two ethic folders opened on him right now. He's not very nice.
I will have more for you in the future.

there was a FL DUer very active in promoting his campaign here and there are TWO current DUers (AWD and.... is it eyesroll's husband?) and that's probably not the last.
but expect limited response for a local race.
but bringing constituents to DU would be a good thing and others in local races might learn something...
