One of the best moments for Edwards last night.... |
|
...in my opinion was his saying that if we'd let the weapons inspectors do their work in Iraq we'd have found out exactly what we know now: there were no WMDs.
If he should have the occasion to say this again I hope that he will add that we could have found out exactly what we know now WITHOUT the loss of 1000+ troops and God knows how many Iraqis.

1. I've been repeating that a lot today... it is the whole point. |
|
Scott Ritter tells this very in a strong compelling way but we need K/E to hammer it.

2. This is so true...It's the nail on the coffin of these guys...never a |
|
mistake between them! EVER! It would have cost less time, lives, money, grief and relationships if Bush didn't rush to war. It's infuriating. The thing about lying...you need to keep lying to cover up the lies.
I'm glad that they have not admitted to any mistakes, makes them look all the more dumb. Bad for them, Good for us.

4. unfortunately they don't get it - they always come back with the |
|
crazy question - so you think it would be better to have saddam in power still - he is just one of 20 dictators who are brutal around the world -
they twist it every time - they don't get - you traded how many lives ruin by wounded and how many ruined by death and how many iraqis they have killed exceeds what sadaam would have done

5. I am beginning to think it would indeed be better at least for the Iraqi |
|
people. They are now bordering on a Civil War that is creating hatreds that will be a long time in passing. I think Iraq will not be a stable country for a long long time now. And no matter what they are still going to hate the Israelites.

I'm driven crazy by this stupid argument...what I say now is "That asshole in the Oval Office let Saddam stay in power for eight months before 9/11! He can't be trusted with our security if he's going to ignore a raving madman!"

... they DID their work and this was abundantly clear. Once it was clear to the Bushlini Regime, the bullies that they are, they felt safe enough from the political downside of massive casualties to go beat up on the crippled Iraq.

6. I agree, particularly on your second sentence. My God, the troops |

and the innocent Iraqi lives.
