We're just doing what they have been doing for 8 years, and now we may finally be at a point where we have bested them at it.

17. Well, if I were to write an emulator in Python (for example). |
|
... I could satisfy the cookie "handshake" and just keep on voting any number of times. Except for polls that record the IP address of the session, they can all be "stuffed" with a program that handles the TCP/IP/HTTP protocols directly. It sure wouldn't be worth my effort to do so, though. Maybe a skilled hacker with plenty of time on his or her hands might try it. Big deal.
(Yes, I could do it on my Windoze box.)

21. (grin) It's been a while since I engaged in the language cult wars. |
|
I've programmed at the 'expert' level in many different languages and have found all of them suitable for certain classes of problem with appropriate considerations for turnover, future maintainability, etc.
Python is relatively consistent across platforms and doesn't get too burdensome in housekeeping details. No language is really platform-independent, not even Ada in other than trivial tasks.
I've found that the major combatants in language wars are those who really only know just one. IOW, it's about the same with programming languages and human languages.

Like I said, I'm a history major. I only know BASIC, which is obsolete.
But I might be able to look up stuff better!

3. This from the slime that invented "freeping" polls |
|
and gave each other seminars about how to get around voting restrictions on polls.
These people are the most reprehensible, lying, projecting, living in denial pieces of shit that have ever existed in the history of humanity.
Fuck them. Their days are over.

Like they don't slam all the polls every chance they get. I'm willing to bet they have a list over there right now, just like ours. (I can't go check, though; I'm sick with stomach flu already and don't need anything to make my stomach worse now.)

Even if every single DU'er voted in every poll, our numbers are still miniscule to the potential voters.

even if what they say is true..the chutzpah obscures all else. If anybody here knows how to do mass cheating on these polls, it's becuase they figured out how the freepers did it.
for the record, I only vote ONCE in any poll I vote in. can't say for anybody else, of course.
