As hard as it is to ignore the media
I am trying my very hardest. We just need to remember that corporate media showed Al Gore and Truman both far behind their GOP competitor but in the end they both won (even though Gore was robbed)

1. SR Bush was leading in virtually all polls yet lost to Bill Clinton
So yeah.. it is hard to ignore the media but all we can do is do our best and keep the faith until the end.

2. I don't know
That was then, and this is now. Today we have about five people who control everything broadcast on the mass media. All are rabid RW Bush supporters. Since it serves them, it is in their interest to manufacture, out of whole cloth, the Potemkin campaign with fake polls, fake Bush campaign "crowds," a fake "horse race."

After Bush's two debate appearances, it is quite obvious the man is insane. While I don't doubt that he has support from the 20-25% of the population (a fairly uniform figure for hard-right thinkers in all developed countries), anything much beyond that is, I believe, a charade being foisted on the public in order to add a patina of legitimacy to what may very well be a fake election, complete with fake results supported by fake polls and fake punditry.
