4. all of the questions begged the question
Unfortunately, it seemed as if nearly all the questions (not to mention the format of the debate) skirted the questions.

For example, health care. Of course, Bush isn't going to provide us healthcare, but Kerry spent most of the debate telling us how the government wasn't going to provide us healthcare (unless we choose it?). The point is, healthcare SHOULDN'T be privatized. You should not profit off of someone being sick. This is something that necessarily needs to be provided by the government! (As was pointed out by Kerry in a roundabout way, every other industrialized nation in the world provides to its citizens with healthcare, except for us!).

On top of this, other issues that were never touched upon in this debate: the prison system, the drug war, the conflict between Palestine & Israel, corporate corruption, corporate globalization, poverty (except at a very superficial level--why was Bush allowed to skirt the question about minimum wage?).

These are all extremely important questions but never discussed at the debate. I'm starting(?) to wonder if this election is a complete sham. Bush needs to be kicked out of the white house, but I'm starting to wonder why Kerry should be let in.
