Unit of 19 Soldiers Refused to do "Fuel Convoy" Mission - CNN
Edited on Fri Oct-15-04 01:36 PM by gore-is-my-president
It was a very dangerous mission and they refused to do it. The commentator said that this was "very unusual" and unprecedented.

1. Not a dangerous mission
A pointlessly suicidal mission. Those poor guys were caught between death and courts martial.

4. Not good
The troops will loose no matter what. Right or wrong they'll get clobbered with disobeying a legal order in time of war regardless what the facts are. In the military mind, they have no choice but to show no mercy on this one...if they did it would shatter discipline.

8. Do you mean like the GOPers in Washington did during Nam?
Tell the troops to use the CiC's FINE example and go aWol!

10. You mean like the GOOPERS are doing now?
There wouldn't be a need for double and triple rotations (and unescorted suicide missions!) if Republican loudmouths resigned their commissions in the 82nd Couchborne and hauled their sorry asses to Iraq.

I was dropping in at the Democratic Headquarters today to volunteer, and a soldier was inside describing to others his best friend's eye wound over there. Said he saw it happen(graphic..talked about the bullet, etc..) He snatched up signs for all the Dems, stickers, etc..for himself and a few of his buddies.

He wants Bush the hell outta there. I grabbed more signs myself.

I hope more of these brave soldiers do stuff like this.
whats that saying? what if they had a war and nobody came? or was that a movie..
edited to say yeah, like the post above!! time-ING!

13. The People's revolution is beginning.
Now the troops are refusing to follow the Fascist dictator's war, it will soon be over for BushCo and the rest of their evil empire.

I think this is fantastic news, the war can be stopped, it just takes the people fighting it to put down their guns and go home.
