What is the survey I just heard on CNN?
The Annenenberg group showed a majority of military people support the chimp. I am sure someone here has the facts on this, anyone have any links? I am trying to convince a Gulf War I vet to fire the chimp.
Thanks!

Here's the homepage for the Annenberg Public Policy Center:
http://www.annenbergpublicpolicycenter.org/index.HTM

It has the survey you mentioned (dated 10/15/04), but the next day released a survey which is titled "Service members, families, say Pentagon sent too few troops to Iraq, stressed National Guard and Reserves, should allow photos of coffins at Dover."

To me, this illustrates a blind kind of patriotism to Bush in our military, even though the majority do not think he's handled it well. So you might talk to your friend about not being a sheep who blindly follows a shepard into a foxhole!

Another couple of sites you might check out for arguments are:

Veterans Against the Iraq War: http://www.vaiw.org/vet/index.php

Military Families Speak Out: http://www.mfso.org/main_f.html

National Priorities Project Cost of War: http://www.costofwar.com/

And tho he's probably not a Michael Moore fan, I think the "Letters From The Troops" section of his website is interesting: http://www.michaelmoore.com/books-films/willtheyevertrustusagain/

Good luck! My boyfriend is a Gulf War vet, pro-military guy, and he can't stand Bush. So there's hope!

(edited to include more links)

3. I just wonder how some military polls are conducted.......
It might be done with a "show of hands". And anyone who doesn't vote the "right" way must be on the side of the "turrists".

4. Only 19% of military are Dems, over 80% are Repubs or Independent
On TV I saw the poll numbers but also there was the explanation that about 43% of military are Republican, only 19% registered Democratic.
