i think it was when he got wood over Bush's carrier landing. talking about how manly he looked.

but on the other hand, wasn't he a dean supporter? what's the deal with him?

5. Since - forever
He was like this during 2000. Never missed saying 'Gore is a liar, Gore said he invented the internet.' He called him Zelig etc. ad nauseum. He's a P.O.S.

9. Long before then.
He got a morally outraged about Monica's dirty blue dress, but some seem to think it was because Clinton passed him over for a White House job in favor of someone else way before the cigargate scandal. So he's been grinding a big axe all these years.

10. went over the edge during clinton's first term
the first time i recall really being angry with him was during the whole "chinese money scandal" that they cooked up late in the '96 campaign. clinton really got hammered on that for a few weeks and it kept his margin of victory down. tweety was all over it.

14. Chris Matthews is the ultimate media
flip-flopper. He`s like a whacked yo-yo....one day pro-Kerry, next day pro-Bush, depending on his guest list. He likes to hawk his books, wave his flag and try ever so hard to not upset the Republican establishment.

He`s a multi-millionaire showboat who likes to stay on the good side of anyone he might want to book on his show. Forget his folksy tripe, he`s part of the in crowd and he knows which side of the bread is buttered.

16. He's ALWAYS been one, BUT
He seemed to get worse after his heart attack. That was several years back; I don't know how many remember that incident...when he went back on the air, he was all...spacy...detached, very cheerful in am strange, mellow way.

Maybe it was the Beta Blockers. Maybe he found god. Whatever it was, he certainly changed afterwords.

Always a hack though, but certainly more tolerable before.
