I think it's too late for mailings or organizing newspaper ads, unless they can get their ads printed literally tomorrow. The "documentary" is going to start airing
this week and it's already Tuesday.
I think our time and money is best spent calling advertisers and station sales manangers directly. We can single-handedly have a huge impact on the numbers Nov. 2 by doing this.
Remember, the FCC
has said they can't (or won't) do anything about this, so unless we succeed, and
soon, this "documentary" will be broadcast into almost a
QUARTER of American homes, during
PRIMETIME.
We all know that it's a right-wing Trojan Horse, but not every Joe Lunchpail in suburban Ohio does. Honestly, a lot of people don't even follow the news. I have several friends that hadn't even heard about the Sinclair scandal until a couple of days ago when I told them about it and asked them to help.
So I plead with you all: if you haven't made some phone calls to advertisers or station sales managers, please do so ASAP, and recruit others to do so as well.
Here's a little website that has all the info needed to take action against Sinclair:
Sinclair Rapid-Action Guide
It has advice for contacting advertisers, and even has names of station sales managers.
