Al and Katherine?

I have been watching Al Franken for several weeks now. Love the show! It comes on here (L.A.) on the Sundance Channel in the middle of the night. I Tivo it, of course, and watch it the next evening.

Is there something going on between Al and Katherine Lanpher? I get that distinct impression when I watch the two of them together.

Anyone else notice this or have any thoughts?

Al has been married for a long time to his wife, Franni. I've heard that it's an excellent marriage. If so, it would be a shame for it to end over on-air chemistry.

They clearly have different ideas of how to approach the show and of content and humor. Al loves tweaking Katharine and grossing her out, just like a brother would do to his sister. They also discuss what and how with regard to topics pre-show, and Al will sometimes go "off the script" once on the air which will bring a comment or rebuke from Katherine. Listen everyday as I do and you will get a sense of this. Al clearly counts on reactions from Katherine, bot positive and negative, and Katherine gives and witholds those reactions as she sees fit. It's a dynamic that works. If I were teamed with a woman like Katherine, I would be doing the same thing. It keeps them both on their toes, even if some of it is confusing to us.

Al is a very human human, and he likes to have his fun.

Since Katherine is the radio professional, I got the distinct impression she was there to school Al in the ways of radio broadcasting when the show started. She is very intelligent. Sometimes I wish she would talk a bit more.

By the way, how about playing cupid between O'Liely and Katherine the witch? If that works, that would be a way to save the Republic.

This very successful progressive radio team was bound to have to endure an eventual rumor. It isn't true.

On the other hand, Rush is due an indictment and I hear O'Reilly may agree to settle with his victim.

Thank you all for your posts. I certainly was not trying to start any kind of a rumor. I love Al Franken - always have. I really like Katherine too. No more posts on this thread, o.k.? Forget I asked.
