Who are the rising stars of the Democratic Party?
My nominations would include:

Elliott Spitzer, Attorney General (and next Governor) of New York

Gavin Newsom, Mayor of San Francisco

Barack Obama, Soon-to-be U.S. Senator from Illinois

Martin O'Malley, Mayor of Baltimore, Maryland

3. Dennis K. Technically he is not rising because he has been around
for a long time, but he just does not have the acclaim that he ought to.

18. Kucinich is the soul of our party IMHO.
I was very cynical & hopeless until I went to hear Kucinich speak over a year ago. He made me believe again. He made me want to fight for what I believe in again.

6. Two more, Al Franken and Jon Stewart
Looking ahead, the future looks really exciting. It makes me giddy imagining Senator Franken (D-MN) on the floor debating the Neocons. :)

9. Howard Dean soon to be head of the DNC (I hope)
I hope Spitzer becomes the US AG and goes after some of these corporate criminals that are robbing us blind. Man, he'll be like a good Democratic version of Ashcroft...bad news for corporate (mostly Republcian) criminals.

14. Stephanie Herseth from South Dakota..
...of course, she's cute as hell so I am compelled to nominate her!

Barak Obama, Jennifer Granholm, JE, of course.

As a liberal though, I am looking out for the next Paul Wellstone who will inspire that wing of the party even if they are never elected president.

15. Some More in the House
Richard Morrison, if he unhorses the foul Tom Delay, will come into DC with a good bit more stature than most freshmen Congressmen.

Barbara Lee, for having the guts to oppose all the insanity even when everyone else was caught up in it.

Nancy Pelosi's star will rise further in a Kerry administration, the
more so if we can somehow take back the House.

19. Jim Davis Rep from Tampa Bay Fl area
You haven't heard of him nationally yet but you will.
Expect him to run for Gov this next time around when Jeb leaves to give his brother a shoulder to cry on.
