Even though Bush exploits 9/11, why does he block investigations of it? |

This is an excellent question I think.
I invite all, Liberals and Conservatives to ponder this question.
It is well known that Bush exploits 9/11.
The WTC appearing in at least one of his ads.
Recently, Bush made an appearance, and there was an image of the collapsing WTC.
Fox News has even defended Bush's exploitation of the attacks.
But...
You think Bush would want to investiagate the terror attacks of 9/11 to the maximum extent of his abilities. However this has not been the case.
Bush tried to block the 9/11 Commission.
Bush, Cheney, and Rice wanted to meet with the Commission in secret.
Bush who was against the Commission suddenly wanted to hasten the investigation. Flip-Flopper anyone?
28 pages of the 9/11 Commission Report are missing, most likely because of the White House.
So why exactly does someone try to exploit something for political gain, and then try to hide facts about it?
I invite all, regardless of political ideology, to answer this question.

The greater question that looms overhead is, "Why would the administration thwart any real investigation into 9/11, when such behaviour would imply complicity?"
The answer is that it DOES imply complicity. The administration has manipulated the flow of information about the most devastating attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor; only recently did they, albeit reluctantly, allow a committee to investigate the occurrence, and even then it was packed with individuals who personally gained from the attack (read the Schwarz thread for more info).
For anyone who has been paying attention to the "nobody's to blame" games being played, the testimony of Sibel Edmonds being suppressed, and all of the questions that were laid to rest unanswered, it's pretty obvious that this administration has major stock in not letting the truth about 9/11 get out (whatever it may be).
The easiest way to explain it would be that 9/11 was a staged event, meant to thrust the political advantage into the neo-conservatives' hands. Any real investigation would lead in the plot being exposed, and the PNAC being outed as the criminals they are.
That's just one way of looking at it.

2. 911 can be used for political gains, |
|
thats why "they" did it.Meanwhile getting caught would be political suicide but only if we lived in a world where lying, deception and killing were considered wrong. (I don't know if we live in that world any longer?)

3. Your premise is flawed |
|
Bush wants no investigations of 9/11 PRECISELY because he wants to exploit it. You can't sow fear in people while explaining that you're responsible for their being afraid.
