Looking to the future, how to counter the coming impeachment |
|
The Republicans began drafting articles of impeachment in 1992 after Bill clinton won the election. It's a dead on given that they've already begun drafting articles of impeachment for Kerry.
How do we counter this? This is important because they may try to use these drafts as reasoning or arguments in the coming lawsuits the Busheviks will file against Kerry taking office.

1. We take-hold of the Senate. |
|
If we take the Senate, nothing can proceed. We control the agenda.
Our next option? Filibuster. Stop anything and everything from coming to the senate floor.
Other than that, Kerry needs to watch EVERY single step he makes.

3. The House prepares the articles, the Senate convicts or acquits |
|
Control of the Senate does not mean that articles of impeachment cannot move forward, only that there will be no conviction.
The other thing to keep in mind is we are mobilizing a huge number of voters this year. We must also mobilize those same voters in two years or we are sunk!

2. All we can do, as far as I know, is make sure we can get Congress |
|
Otherwise, I have no idea.
Maybe we can fund the effort to counter impeachment by starting a pool.
Ten bucks to place a bet, you pick a week and a reason for imeachment to be introduced. If you win, you get 50% (the rest goes to fighting impeachment).
I will take "recklessly sending our troops to die in Iraq for nothing more than political motivation" in the week of February 27, 2005.
