I'm trying to not get caught up in the DU hype but I think I'm am. I think Kerry is winning this election but I'm not counting on it yet.

1. I knew we were NOT going to win in 2002 and it was all DU
hype and wishful thinking. But not this time. We are going to win this one.

3. I think the momemtum is on Kerry's side
Non-decideds break for the challenger, great turnout with the new voters and we win. :bounce:

I still thought we'd win in 2002.

2. I got my fingers crossed, Cally
I am very aprehensive with all those polls, however. How anyone other than a talibornagain can vote for him is beyond me.

5. Election night in 2002 was like a nightmare
It was cold and raining in Delaware, I was still numb from Paul Wellstone's "accident," and control of the Senate went to the Repukes. I was seriously freaked out for a couple of days.

6. We didn't "lose" by much in 2002.
Keep in mind, we had a 1 seat majority in the Senate, there was less than 50% turnout, there was some software patch called "rob-georgia", and the Dems were all saying "We're just like Republicans, just not as much."

The result? They barely won. Many within 10 points, and the Democrats picked up some goverorships.

We are not saying we're Rpug lite this time. This is NOT going to be a low turnout, which are the ONLY reasons why they "won" last time.

7. My biggest fear
is that we are as blind now as we were in 2002. That election made me cynical and pessimistic. The only good thing about it is that I won't be so shocked this time around if it happens again.
