This graciousness astounds me |
|
I know that Kerry and his surrogates have to be careful about not personally attacking Bush and his cronies. Yesterday, I was watching Elizabeth Edward's townhall meeting and some lady told her that she did better than that bitch Lynne Cheney would have done (bitch being my term) and Mrs. Edwards was extremely gracious and praised Mrs. Satan's intelligence. Today, the Kerry girls were on Larry King and were asked about Cheney's (notice how she's the nastiest bitch ever) comments about their father and they succesfully answered the question w/o attacking Cheney. This must take so much self control because I could not deal with it. I'd open my big mouth and call a spade a spade, or in this case, an asshole an asshole. How about you guys?

1. I'd do just that, by saying to Larry.. |

That Cheney's comment to Pat Leahy spoke volumes for just where the Vice President is coming from!
B-)

They are gracious. I agree -- there's no way I'd have that sort of self control.

Our candidates (and their families) are just classy people, plain and simple, especially when contrasted with those hateful bilious pigs.
I don't know if I'd have enough restraint not to call them what they are. I think if I were in the same situation, I could probably avoid calling her a bitch (as I would in private), but I would stop short of acutally saying anything nice about her. I can be tactful if required, but I can't lie. And I have nothing nice to say about any of those pigs.

That's what I thought. Wasn't 100% sure, though

and grace is a mark of a winner.

thugh it's possible they make the effort more often. Of course we typically only see them when they know they are in the public eye; I would expct that if you knew you were in the public eye, you would also make a better effort to present your best self. Afer all, if you realize it reflects on you, why would you not present your best self.
