4. Nope. They just liked hearing "Born in the U.S.A." over and over and
wanted to suggest that their candidate (G.H.W. Bush) and this country really can kick ass.

Analysis of the other lyrics were irrelevant.

They fought Bruce initially but their lawyers were eventually convinced that they had to stop using Bruce as their involuntary spokesman.
