Swiftvets set to humiliate themselves and allies!!!
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1262339/posts?q=1&&page=51#73

<snip>
Link above is the source for the planning, we need to know how many are going ASAP. Current plan is to meet at the Navy Archives around noon (just off metro station), stragglers have until 1300 to join up when march begins to Capitol building steps where rally will be held. Information concerning Hanoi control of VVAW (from Texas Tech Vietnam archives) and sKerry's original discharge are to be given to the media at that time.

Blogger types are requested to wear pajamas, with big floppy eared slippers if possible. Otherwise, neatness and politeness count, but you guys know the deal.

Good luck and let them know if you are coming or can help network/coordinate. Urgent request for contact with DC Metro police regarding requirements for march/parade permits. It might be too late, but let's find out."

1. They can't be serious

Good grief, these people are nuts. They just don't get it. Kerry and The Vietnam Veterans Against the War were trying to HELP the US soldiers still in country at the time and bring them home, as well as stop the senseless destruction in S. Vietnam. That didn't make them communists or communist sympathizers. The horror and futility of that war is beyond their comprehension, apparently.

It's the same anti-war=communist, black/white, left/right, "fer us or agin us" lack of critical thinking all over again. :sigh:

Little Georgie Bunnypants has multiplied! Save us! Save us! :eyes:

2. It will be interesting to see how the media...
... handles this.

Some not so ancient history: In 2000, there was an attempt on the part of a couple of vet organization to get some of Marty Heldt's FOIA documents from Bush's guard files to the press. Didn't happen until the weekend. When they simply didn't show up in the Monday news cycle, the excuse given by the press was that they reviewed the documents on Monday, and policy was that they always gave the subject of the story twnty-four hours to respond before filing the story. Of course, twenty-four hours later, the election is on, and the story was buried.

If these yahoos give these likely-forged documents to the media on Saturday, it's going to be very interesting to see if, this time, the news media run with a story before Tuesday that Kerry's discharge may be in question.

This should be an excellent test to see if the media are going to bend the rules to get the story into play before the election.

Cheers.

4. Maybe it will turn out
like the hyped freep by vets against Kerry in Raleigh last Saturday-four adults and one child. I hope they do show up in pajamas with bunny slippers so they look the fools they are.
