and it's also kinda funny that after you kill those one hundred thousand people, you can get away with it, and even praised for it.

it's funny too that the 100,000 people who've been killed and who's name's are never mentioned, were innocent of any crime against we, the people of the great united states.

and it's really funny that the guy who murdered 3,000 people in new york city was on t.v. last night laughing at us and threatening us again, while we've been murdering 100,000 innocent people in a land where osama is not.

and funny how we promised the oppressed people of iraq we'd bring peace and stability and save them from the awful saddam, but we had to kill 100,000 of them to do it, and perhaps 10 times that soon.

it's all so very very fucking funny. america is really going through some real live death throes, and it's a sad thing to witness.

2. It's something we've become very good at...
... I did some research a while back and found that in all of WWII, all theaters combined, we dropped a little over 2 million tons of explosives. In Vietnam, we dropped almost 7 million tons (that's about 800 lbs. for every person in the country at the time).

We seem to like dropping bombs... a lot.

4. We have become a country that likes war. Face it.
It is a big business. Self feeding. You blow things up so must re-build what you blow up plus re-make the stuff you blow it up with.My dear old Republican Dad used to tell me you could not build a society making arms as you blow them up but I think he may have been wrong in the wording "building a society' which we do not seem to be doing any more. We have an army to keep the corp going. The God of War. Bush

7. we like it, as long as we ain't actually in it ourselves...
...like the blowhard chickenhawks and their followers, they talk big about war but they are not enlisting. leave it to 'others'. wait till the shit hits home a little closer, like if one of their own sons gets drafted and sent there. will they still crow for blood? some will i suppose, but like vietnam, the shit comes home and boom, it's declared a victory and it's in the history books.

3. If you think that's funny, check this out
About 3 weeks ago Paul Wolfowitz made the base rounds in Germany to speak to members of the Base Support Battalions/Family Readiness Groups (catch the adoration in the photo):

http://www.rlehner.de/thepoint/2004/2004.pdf.

Wolfowitz showed a DVD of Mrs. Bush's message to the military's children. It actually is an expansion of what she said to them in March 31, 2003, found here: http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/04/20030408-8.html

He passed out copies of the DVD to military chiefs/administrative heads in the audience, and they, in turn, have been showing Mrs. Bush's message to the soldiers' children, the perfect vehicle for promoting Bush's propaganda message just as the absentee ballots were rolling in. Here's a transcript of what Mrs. Bush said (please place all hot drinks and food away from the monitor as you read, or else have a wastebasket nearby). I think it is a timely post, considering the more than 100,000 Iraqi dead you reference above:

Message from Mrs. Laura Bush

Greetings from back home in America.

President Bush and I are thinking about you and your families while your mom or dad is protecting our country and helping people in other nations build a better life. People all across the world have witnessed the bravery and the courage of your parents. We’ve seen their kindness, especially to the people of Afghanistan and Iraq. In those two countries, your parents have helped to free millions of families and children from violence and hatred. They’ve given children everywhere, especially here in America, the chance to grow up in peace. As they defend our country, and advance freedom, they’re also changing people’s lives. Your moms and dads are supplying whole villages with their first taste of clean water. They’re delivering medicine to sick children and supplies to hospitals. They’re rebuilding schools so that millions of children can study and learn. In fact, thanks to your parents, little girls who were not allowed to read or to sit in a classroom at all are going to school for the first time in their lives. You should be incredibly proud of your parents just as every American is grateful for their service. We’re also incredibly proud of you. You don’t fly jet planes or wear uniforms, but as children of our troops, you serve, too. The courage with which you do so is an inspiration to us all. You face the challenge of moving to new bases, new schools, and even new countries. You have to learn new languages, and make new friends while helping your parents at home with housework, babysitting, and lots of letter writing. And the hardest part, you worry about your mom and dad faraway. I know being apart from the people you love is not easy., but as long as there is hatred in the world, there will be a need for brave men and women like your parents to protect America. We’ll never forget their commitment to our country. As your moms and dads are helping others, I hope you’ll continue to help your families at home. You can set the table for your mom or dad, or read to your brothers and sisters. You can clean up your room without being asked, or write a special letter to your parents where they are deployed. And keep studying and working hard in school. Being kind to others, helping around the house, and doing well in school are great ways you can support and honor your parents. Remember that people all across America care about you and your parents. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Next time you write to your mom or dad, tell them how much President Bush and I appreciate their courage and dedication. Thank you for everything that you do to support your families and serve your country. May God grant you strength and patience, and may God bless America.

6. What was truly funny, though,
was what a teacher told me:

The school counselor had brought the video into the classroom during the weekly enrichment lesson, and played the DVD. Afterwards, three or four students raised their hands and said that Mrs. Bush's message was "propaganda," and that the reason they were made to watch it was because George Bush wanted their parents to vote for him.

True story.

9. And it seems the number that SH supposedly killed keeps going up..
I've heard wild ass numbers all the way from 500K to a million. The more Chimp kills the more SH numbers shift upward. And the fact that SH was in power since 1979,and Chimp has been killing Innocent Iraqi's for only 18 months skews the numbers even more. Doing the math Bush is a more brutal killer of Innocent Iraqi's than SH.
