"In Harm's Way -- Even though roadside explosive devices account for half of all the war's U.S. casualties, soldiers are still getting killed and wounded by them because the Pentagon hasn't provided enough fully-armored vehicles to protect them. Steve Kroft reports."

Gee I wonder where the Iraqi insurgents ever got their hands on all these explosives being used to kill our fighting men and women?

I like. But it crosses so many lines of good taste and civility. But you know that. Don't you?

Just wanted to lend my support to you all. As I'm not allowed to to post until I've replied to x amount of messages, I'll just have to intrude on this one. Sorry!
George W Bush is a dangerous man. Greed and ignorance are never right, and I think the majority of people in Scotland, in fact all of the U.K., are behind John Kerry.
Tony Blair will pay heavily for supporting GWB. We went to war because Bush wanted revenge. BinLaden is still running around the hills of Afghanistan, because we didn't finish the job. Iraq was totally irrelevant-they had nothing to do with 9/11. WMDs? Ha ha!
I posted my views on a Republican forum, and was told Scotland wasn't a country! Then I was told I'd be nuked along with the Ay-rabs! I can see the level of ignorance you guys are up against.
An ethical foreign policy would mean treading much more carefully in the middle east and elsewhere, but it will bear fruit eventually. The USA can't go on trying to influence the world with money and military power. Israel are guilty of terrorism too, and helping them has backfired. The US can't take sides in these affairs. Mediation-yes. Funding weapons and state sponsored murder-no.
An alternative to dependency on oil is welcome too. JK is looking for long term sustainability, and the big picture. Not just his own retention of power.
Good luck for the elections-John Kerry is a great man. If there is any justice in the world, he will be the next president of the USA. And he'll be a great statesman.

Thanks for the welcome. Just how many posts do I need before I can start a thread of my own? Anyone? It's a little frustrating. Not that it's a bad idea. I could be an "Ay-rab" in a kilt, plotting your downfall. I must be destroyed. (joke)

:hi: We love hearing voices from other countries here. The international self isolation of our country in one of it's greatest problems IMO.
