Tidewater Virginia - Long lines at 6am |
|
most people holding the Democratic sample ballot. Energy level high. Republican electioneer out front getting some gentle ribbing: "President Bush and Congress Woman Davis would like your support!" and people responding with things like, "Yeah, I bet they would!" and "Well, they aren't going to get it!"
It's too bad the Dems don't even have a candidate running for the House race. It's a Repug and an Independent who is far to the right of her. I guess I'll have to run in '06!

2. I voted for the Democrats running for House.... |

...in District 4. We currently have Forbes, ugh, but he's also likely going to be re-elected. It's sad but true. I don't even remember the guys name who was the Democrat running for House -- but he was someone with no experience, had less than $300 dollars in his War Chest, and someone no one took seriously. He still got my vote though. I'll be damned if I'll vote for Forbes.

we could go blue. The Dem folks here are near fanatical. Really enhances the living experience.

It's kind of lonely being the only outspoken liberal here at work.
