Could they really have found WMD's (or planted them) in Iraq and have been letting the specualtion go to dicredit and destroy opposition and silence the media?

Another Rove Trick.

Unfourtunalty I can see them playing this game and waiting to do this; afterall they are some of the most ruthless people on the planet. Weed out any government people that have been a thorn on their side?

How would this play out, if it happened this way?

Any WMD's should have uncovered by now. Any delay means that * looks more like he ought to.

There are particular "signatures" involved in weapons or weapons components that would be impossible to fake. Meaning, I think, that nothing Bushco could plant would stand up to objective scrutiny.

Sorry for not having a better grasp on this, but there are people out there who sound pretty knowledgeable about this. Anyone?
