My husband's comeback to the freepers gloating today at work
Oh, they couldn't wait to gloat! All my husband said was, "Watch out, Hillary and Barack in '08." ROFL! Their reaction was pure shock! He left them speechless.

3. Hillary
At this rate, this country would not be ready for a woman as president for another 20 years.

7. Does anyone else get the feeling...
... that the freepers think they're screwing us Kerry supporters over? As in, "we win, you lose."

I thought that Kerry winning would benefit the ENTIRE country, and possibly even some parts of the world. The freepers might have been annoyed at possibly paying higher taxes if they were in that higher income bracket, but I think that we ALL would have been better off - including freepers, whether they know it or not. In other words, "If Kerry wins, America wins."

Why the gloating? Is the freeper's motto, "If Bush wins, the Right wins and the Left loses"? Do they admit that the Right will be better off while the Kerry supporters will have to continue to struggle?

I'm sorry, I meant to reflect on this quietly, but it turned into somewhat of a rant. I'll post it anyway, and if it's inappropriate, I apologize.

9. They're stupid to believe>>>>
that they wont suffer the same as the gays, minorities, non-xtians. BUT THEY WILL. They may be too stupid to even know it.

11. I hope the price is not 1000s of American military and civilian lives
But Bush is great at helping the terrorists recruit, so I'm really afraid of another terrorist attack.

12. If Kerry wins, American wins."
Exactly! I don't know why they feel the need to gloat unless they aren't really that proud of what they are getting? Maybe they are ashamed? I would never have gloated. All I wanted is what you said, for Kerry to win and begin healing this Country and make it better for anyone. No need to apologize and welcome to DU! :hi:

22. You misunderstand!
At least I think you do!

I meant that the smiley itself looks like it's not smiling too happily, not that you choosing it is sad. I' sorry I wasn't clear. We don't need to be bashing each other or having any misundertandings right now.

19. there is an ubiquitous dark joke in the Balkans, appropo to this -
It is told by each ethnic group, about themselves and others. It is widely regarded as true-to-life. Recent history bears out the dark truth of it. In short-form -

A (Serb, Bosnian, Croat, take your pick) is walking along a beach. Up washes an interesting bottle - like a genie bottle. The Serb picks up the bottle, rubs it, out comes the genie. The genie gives the Serb one wish, but informs him that whatever he wishes for, his neighbor will get double.

The Serb, not wanting to benefit his Bosnian neighbor double his own luck, ponders and ponders. Finally, inspired, he has the answer.

He tells the genie that his wish is to be blinded in one eye.

And that my friend, is something I see becoming more deeply ingrained in the republiCON mentality.

21. my daughter said the same thing to me today
but I told her if the country is too religious then they won't vote for a woman. Those same states think they are in the 50's and the man is the leader in the home.
