Is it over? Have they bankrupted the USA in 2 1/2 years?
With the tax cuts, job losses/cuts, $4 billion per month cost of the occupation in Iraq, has the BFEE achieved what Ronald Reagan could not? It looks to me like we might have reached the economic point of no return in an amazingly short time.

Can the havoc unleased by the evil Bush cabal EVER be undone? Or has the momentum of the wealth transfer to BFEE businesses and cronies passed the tipping point?

Impeachment of everyone who needs to be impeached will take an incredible amount of time and effort and that effort will take away from what is needed to repair the damage done already.

And I don't think we can restore economic balance in this country at this point through income measures--the ASSETS are distributed in such an top-heavy way and asset-redistribution would almost certainly entail violence with no guarantee of success.

Has the train left the station headed down the mountain with no brakes?

1. heh...tax cuts were for campaign dollars....
This part was overlooked during Kerry's remarks about Bush.

>>>
Kerry also denounced Bush's prodigious fundraising -- the president's campaign expects to raise $200 million to spend between now and the Republican National Convention -- calling it a payoff for three tax cuts that Kerry said were aimed primarily at the rich. "I think President Bush has basically been running around the country collecting his rebate for the tax cut he gave people and I think it's polluting American politics to the worst degree," he said.

4. Kerry in Tom Harkin's Iowa Forum detailed off-shore tax havens...
... stating a number around $180 billion per year should be going into the nation's tax tiller escapes offshore. Who gets to enjoy such patriotism? Why Bush's bestest pals, of course.

Wonder when ex-governor ex-doctor ex-stockbroker Dean will start stealing on this? Now that I see it in print, I hope he does mention it.

2. Looted the Treasury, too.
Reverse Robin Hood through Trickle-Down Economics:

In addition to changing the tax code to result in yet ANOTHER largest transfer of wealth in human history from the middle class to the upper class, Bush's economic team has helped destroy the stock market plans and employee pension funds, helping create "Fire Sale" stock pricing for the Fat Cats to enjoy. That way, "We the Mopes" can buy when stock prices are high and the In-Criminal Crowd buy when they are the only ones who can afford bargains. Nice.

Bushler also wants Social Security and whatever is not nailed down in every budget item of the federal government. Gee. I wonder if the same people helping him find the crumbs are the ones who misplaced a trillion or two at the Pentagon?

5. These are the right questions to be asking.
It must be recognized that even if by some miracle, Bushler is voted out of office next year, this will achieve little or nothing by itself. If the ill-gotten trillions now sitting in the bank accounts of all the Bush cronies are not returned to society, these people will be sitting there with enough power to be able to install another Bushler, at their leisure. The idea that "electing a Democrat" is even going to scratch the surface of the problems - this is a naive delusion, unless that Democrat seriously intends to address the massive theft of assets of recent years. Anything short of that will be just a bandaid. It will have no sticking power.

6. yea they'll be sitting there
with their power but will they be safe? At some point all hell will break in this country
I don't see the people taking it for long.
Thing is what resources do we have? I think the crony capitalists are going to go after Africa fast and hard now. So what do the ones that don't care really have to lose if this country sinks to third world status? Help me out here....I'm just not seeing it today. We don't have gold oil I guess we could get the boot brought down on us hard enough to give them slave labor? I would say we have a judical system but the thing is the right is getting that set up for their buds we do after all have the patriot act. What foreign investor is going to trust us and then there is the patriot act 2 what foreign student is going to feel safe coming here or what about tourists?

The wise rich know crony capitalism will be It and I for one think we are darn close if not already about there in this country. We sure are a heck of a lot closer to being full tilt boogie since Bushler (I like that) was selected.

So even if a Democrat gets in office and stops all the tax breaks that won't turn it around? I think an apology to the rest of the world would be a good start and we start doing fair trade (human rights) Also we gotta start slamming hard to gear ourselves off the demon oil or we are toast. We have to do something about our health care system before the baby boomers start retiring or we are going to be in even more deep doo. The patriot act has got to go too.

OR there is always revolution.
