Probably my 6th post on this: CHECK OUT Dem NtlComte Site
Edited on Fri Nov-05-04 06:49 PM by bransonfu
WHAT IS UP?? It is Day 3 of the new BUSH RULE. Only months between us and state-level primaries next spring.

What is your guess why they seem to have abandoned the store?

Why have they not come out with anything beyond this very one-dimensional concession letter since then?

On edit:

you can see here at http://www.democracyforamerica.com that nothing has changed on his page since Wednesday

and http://www.johnkerry.com has the same front page as he DNC's and links to a static home page of his that looks frozen in time back when there was still hope.

6. so...anyone?
Dean's http://www.democracyforamerica.com has a little note from "The Day After". But no updates from since then.

I guess it's so weird. with all the dynamism and activity, etc. here...I figured there would be a LITTLE bit more from our supposed Democratic leaders.

3. Has anyone been threatened or bribed?
Two reasons that actions sometimes don't make sense is that someone has been threatened or bribed. Care to speculate?

either these guys are in a huge lockdown strategy session and want to wow us with all the bells and whistles post-election pages...

or in the words of John Stewart, "they got nuthin'"

LOL.

I have to admit I never religiously checked those sites before...but I also saw http://www.johnkerry.com had that as his front page, but at least he linked to the other full home page of his.

11. I would go for the simple explanation
Those guys have been going 24/7 for weeks now. They put everything they had into it and have been running on adrenaline and caffeine. They are physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausted. They are drained. They have just collapsed. A week or so from now, they will come back in, clean up the old pizza boxes and styrofoam coffee cups and perform the necessary housekeeping for the web sites.

12. you believe that about the DNC?
hmmm....maybe. I doubt many were out there doing much except for Kerry's campaign crew. But maybe you are right. I just didn't see a need for them to cut off completely from their other old site info.

15. I agree with you...
...but 2 things:

(1) I may be wrong about this, but... seems I remember that late on Nov 3, the johnkerry.com site did not have a link at the bottom of the concession speech called "continue to johnkerry.com." I may be wrong about this, but I did get that "shut down, gone home" impression. However, I knew the forum was still open and running because somebody mentioned it (and I can't get in, I should've joined up during the campaign - now my request for a password is rejected).

(2) That GELAC donation link is still ACTIVE. I find that... strange. In a good way. I find it inconcievable that the Kerry campaign would just KEEP our money (yes, I gave too)... so... I'm thinking... something else. :) I may be naive and indulging in wishful thinking, but if that's all it is, it's sure making me feel better at the moment!

14. Interesting quote from MLKJr.... just came across it...
"In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends."
- Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968)

I'll remember both.
