WillPitt on BBV
"Finally, the long fight to bring the glaring problems associated with the new electronic voting machines may finally break fully into the mainstream. There are some ominous discrepancies between the pre-election polls, the exit polls, and the final results out of counties in Florida and Ohio that used the machines. While eating an electoral defeat seems an incredible price to pay for initiating this dialog and investigation, consider the long term. If an investigation into the use of these machines in this election winds up requiring voters be given a paper confirmation of their vote, this democracy will look back on Tuesday November 2, 2004 as a necessary and beneficial trauma."

1. Paper confirmations of votes don't do a damn thing unless they're used
in manual recounts. Even if the manual recounts are random, it's an improvement.

Try three Will. How long is this going to go on? 2006? And when they still that one will we still be investigating? 'Til when? 2008 and so on and so on? In other words, when does it stop? How far will we allow it to go?

6. Heeeeelllllllllllpppppppppppp!!!!!! Would be all right with me to begin
a fight to the death over BBV, to be finished by 2006, the latest. As we all know, the chimpboy has messed our great country up so badly that I wouldn't want to have to watch a good Democrat wallowing around trying to fix it with a Repug House and Senate. This is the most urgent problem in our country, the death of democracy. Moreover, we get to watch the fundie looney-tunes like Dobson pontificate, demanding immediate results from the poor idiot up there in the White House. Go WillPitt! Go Bev Harris! Go! Go! Go! We need you and we are here to help. Haste is necessary, though

8. Anything coming out of a computer is suspect. Including paper.
I suppose nobody's ever been overbilled at a restaurant or store, despite what the receipt says.
